Jeopardy, ACME Project Space, London, UK, 2013

In 2013, Bradley was the inaugural Artist in Residence at Zoological Society in London, Regents Park, and an International Artist in Residence at ACME Studios in East London.  The work exhibited in Jeopardy is a culmination of these two residencies.

Jeopardy is based on research in the ZSL’s archives. Imagery from the ancient menagerie at the Tower of London paired with imprisoned women such as Anne Boleyn and Jane Grey led to contemporary connections with endangered species. The work is printed, drawn and sanded, paint is poured, surfaces are waxed and carved to form hide like layered tapestries.

All works were completed while based in London during the fall of 2013 and some are still available for sale, please inquire to vbradley@udel.edu
